Holidays!

Kia Orana World,

How was everyone's holiday going? I am missing school so much I want to come back to school. School holidays going alright, because that I have been having a boring holiday and a fun holiday at the same time. Last week on Saturday I get to spend time with my BEST FRIEND. Her name is Mekilini, she is one of my best friends :) We went to this Christmas party that was so much fun. We were wandering around the place and we get to play games, watch people dancing, get some food (fun fact is that the food is for FREE). We got some free goodies and we get to get our presents. We get to enjoy watching the people dancing while we eat our food (YUM). After that Christmas party, Mekilini's dad picked us up so we can go back to her house because that she is having a sleepover at my house!!! YAY!!!!!!!!! The reason why she was coming to my house because that I am going to Rarotonga, Cook Island on the 25th of December and she came over to spend some times with me until I go to Rarotonga, (after the sleepover) I took Mekilini back to her house and I get to play with her brother and I had so much fun because we were playing water fights. I got soaked but that was ok because I HAD THE BEST DAY OF MY WHOLE LIFE.

Well my that is it for today because my fingers hurt (OUCH)
See you guys next time BYE!!!

Setting Sail in NZ - 12 days until CHRISTMAS!

Kia Ora bloggers,

Today Megan from Summer Learning Journey came into my class and talked about this activity that we are gonna do. So the activity was to write a letter about myself sailing to NZ. Here is my letter...

Dear Natasha,

Today I decided to set sail to NZ. I was getting very nervous and I don't wanna leave my home island (Cook Island). I packed everything in my suitcase and chucked everything in there (Like how I chuck my food in my lunchbox). I was rushing to the Waka because we got lazy to pay the fair for a PLANE so we went on the Waka (Waka means boat if you don't know that). I jumped on the waka with my suitcase and then we got departed from home island.

It took 12 hours to arrive in NZ. My stomach was HURTING, I vomit in the ocean, being annoying, looking for food, DAYDREAMING. FINALLY.... After all those times I'M FINALLY IN NZ. It looked like peaceful place, people were welcoming us that made me feel welcomed. Then I realise that NZ was now my... NEW HOME :o.

That is it for today.
See you guys for a new blog post!

Creating Christmas Tree - Day 3

Kia Orana World,

Day 3! :)

Today our class was doing a task that is very cool. We have to try and create a Christmas tree. We can use Google Drawing or Google Sheets. But one thing that we can't do is that we can't copy an image from Google and we can't paste it cause that is stealing someone's work. You can use polyline so you can trace things as well (did you know that?) I used the polyline so I can trace the present.

Here is my HARD work.

Blog you later peeps.

We were doing this because in the school holidays some people are going to do.... SUMMER LEARNING JOURNEY. SLJ is when you blog about things you learn, like your favorite subject at school.

Anyways here is my slide:

Hope you enjoy it

Rocketship Acting Show (Kiwi Kids News)

Heyoo bloggers,

In Parekowhai class our task today was to do an act. If you are wondering what type of act.. We have to go on Kiwi Kids News and we need to have an article and we have to make an act of it. The reason why we were doing this because it sounds very fun and my teacher (Miss Berry) wants us to see your performance and how great we did! In my group were Fehi, Mekilini, Simon, Yazmine, Sariah, Kanishka, Brooklyn, Mansour and Faisal. In my opinion, I thought we did AMAZING!! because that we were having a great time acting and it's SUPER FUNNY!!. To improve next time I think that we need to be focused on the act, no LAUGHING, and we have to get it right.

My favorite part about the act is that I get to be the rocket ship and it was so fun because that my best friends Fehi and Mekilini lift me up and I saw the whole classroom up high like I'm on the sky (not VERY HIGH). One funny part about our act is that Faisal was next to be the rocket ship and then Zion and Simon was trying to lift him up and HERE IT COMES........ He was about to fall down and his reward was doing the ROCKSTAR HAND and then he fell HAHAHAHA.

Well that is for today! Thanks for reading and if you wanna see the article here is the link.

There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom Ending Prediction

Buenos Dias Bloggers,

Today my class has been reading our FAVORITE book 'There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom' by Louis Sachar. We are almost to the end of the chapter book and this is what I think will happen...

How will the story end?
I am guessing the birthday party will go bad bad because Bradley will smash the cake and Colleen will get upset and they are gonna solve the problem and at end and be friends. I will think that Bradley will be grown up and not bring a kid anymore and be more responsible. But Carla might get get an award for being a fantastic school council.

Well that's all for today. I know this is a quick blog post but it's fun reading so you guys should DEFINITELY read the book.

If you read 'There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom' what character would you be?
Carla, Colleen, Jeff, Bradley, Melinda or Lori?

I'll be Lori LOUDMOUTH cause I love shouting at my brother (very funny haha)

See you later bloggers <3

Author Presentation!

20/11/18

WOW Hi bloggers,
Long time no see!! :o Sorry haven't blogged in a long time. My apology cause our class have been very
busy from the past few weeks and FINALLY here I am on my blog :) Here we go

Our task yesterday was to find some information about our author and share it to the rest of the class.
The reason why we are doing this is to practise to search up information was DR. SEUSS. In my group
were Rhia, Fatima and Mose. In my opinion it went very AWESOME. Our average score was 21 (21/25).
We were a tie with my friend Kanishka’s group (The David Walliam Group). To improve, next time I think
we should need to make more eye contacts to the class/audience.

Did you enjoy my presentation? Let me know in the comments ⇩

What's In The News This Week!

Kia Orana bloggers,

Today in class our reading task was to find some news from this week. It had to be news from 23th to 30th October. Today I read this article. The name of the article was First Kiwi Build houses opened with street party.

Interesting fact: Last week the prime minister welcomed 18 families to their kiwi build homes in  Auckland's Papakura suburb. One of the owners from the new home compared their purchase to winning the Lotto (WOW) :o.

The news was: Kinda boring

1 new word I learned was: The word that I learned was Mortgage. The definition of Mortgage is a legal agreement by which a back, building society. Lending money at interest in exchange for taking title of the debtors property.

Worth reading? This news was pretty boring because that they were talking about the houses.

Well that's pretty much it. Sorry if my blog was pretty boring because we had to do this. But that is alright because I get to do fun things as well.

Thank you for coming!
Here's the photo by the way:

They won a dramatic championship game.
South Africa scored 36 and All Blacks scored 34.

The weird situation happened in Wellington in New Zealand.

What was your reaction when All Blacks lost the game?

Wild Thing Creation!

Kia Orana my typing monkeys,

Ina's back. So for today's blog post I'm sharing you my creation that I did with my class. So before we were reading a book called 'The Wild Things'. My teacher Miss Berry showed us her creation of the wild thing that she used with Polyline. A polyline is a thing (dont know what it is and I cant explain it sorry) where you can move it but you have to click and then move it to where yo want it to be or something like that.

Here is my creation of the wild thing. Also that my class and I did some writing about the wild things. It's simile and metaphors. Here is it

So here is it. As you know that you can't see my writing so maybe you can zoom in so you can see it better.

So thank you for coming and looking at my blog. I appreciate you coming and visiting my blog and I have 1 question to tell you.

Have you read the book 'The Wild Things'? Well I don't know because i'm not in your school (HAHA). Thanks for looking and visiting. Come back for some more new blog post!

Assembly Recount

Kia Orana my typing monkeys,

On Thursday 9th August, my class (aka: Parekowhai Class) hosted THE BEST, SMART, AMAZING ASSEMBLY EVER!. It started at 9:00am, I was very nervous and a little excited because we are the first class to do a assembly on Term 3! The theme for our assembly was BLOGGING!!!!!!! We got to share our blog post to the school so they can learn what we did in class. Our audience was Hay Park, teachers and parents. The host were: Kanishka, Fehi, Sariah and Ina/Me.

Our blogs were ‘What We Did In The Holidays’ (Mandita) Kiwi Kids News (Simon) Cook Island Language Week (Me) Plastic in the sea and a turtle died (Mose and Zion) bad habits (Gloria and Rhia). I had fun telling everyone about the Cook Islands because I want them to know some facts about a beach (Daragosa Beach). We also talked about YouTube Recommendation that was presented by Patrick (nearly forgot about him).

So at the start of our assembly our theme song was the ‘Wake Up Song’ that was given from Mrs Rai. When everyone took their seats Fehi, Kanishka, Sariah and I started the assembly! First we went on with our National Anthem, then we dance and sing to the song ‘Wake Up Song’ and it was SUPER fun because people knew the song and it was AMAZING because I will feel embarrassed if we have to sing the song without anyone singing. When the song finished we started of telling everyone about our blogging series. Then Mandita and Simon came up and talk about their holidays (including our winter homework). Mandita talked about her holiday about her friend came to her house (WHICH WAS ME) and Simon talking about a Kiwi Kids News article about a dog doing CPR!! After that I went next to show my presentation about the Cook Islands (PS: Cook Island Language Week w/ Ms Campbell). When I finished my presentation we started talking about YouTube. I know EVERYBODY LOVES YouTube and you might wonder that they have dirty, rude, inappropriate videos that people post and their channel/videos can easily get stuck into your head. So Patrick talked about Goosebumps because he was telling a explanation WHY WE HAVE GOOSEBUMPS! Later on Mose and Zion talked about a sad article that they published on their blog and it broke my heart. They were talking about rubbish into the sea and turtles dying from it :(. When it’s done we also started talking about BAD HABITS! So people have bad habits so Gloria and Rhia were talking about it! It’s terrible that people have those BAD HABITS and I am HAPPY that I am not that person. When they finished we asked Papa Jarrod to come up the stage but sadly he wasn’t here. Then we ended the assembly with a GOODBYE!

Thank you for coming! See ya l8r

Also here is a video of our assembly.

Enjoy

Common noun is kinda like a object such as table, chair, paper and more...
