Rocketship Acting Show (Kiwi Kids News)

In Parekowhai class our task today was to do an act. If you are wondering what type of act.. We have to go on Kiwi Kids News and we need to have an article and we have to make an act of it. The reason why we were doing this because it sounds very fun and my teacher (Miss Berry) wants us to see your performance and how great we did! In my group were Fehi, Mekilini, Simon, Yazmine, Sariah, Kanishka, Brooklyn, Mansour and Faisal. In my opinion, I thought we did AMAZING!! because that we were having a great time acting and it's SUPER FUNNY!!. To improve next time I think that we need to be focused on the act, no LAUGHING, and we have to get it right.

My favorite part about the act is that I get to be the rocket ship and it was so fun because that my best friends Fehi and Mekilini lift me up and I saw the whole classroom up high like I'm on the sky (not VERY HIGH). One funny part about our act is that Faisal was next to be the rocket ship and then Zion and Simon was trying to lift him up and HERE IT COMES........ He was about to fall down and his reward was doing the ROCKSTAR HAND and then he fell HAHAHAHA.

Author Presentation!

Long time no see!! :o Sorry haven't blogged in a long time. My apology cause our class have been very
busy from the past few weeks and FINALLY here I am on my blog :) Here we go

Our task yesterday was to find some information about our author and share it to the rest of the class.
The reason why we are doing this is to practise to search up information was DR. SEUSS. In my group
were Rhia, Fatima and Mose. In my opinion it went very AWESOME. Our average score was 21 (21/25).
We were a tie with my friend Kanishka’s group (The David Walliam Group). To improve, next time I think
we should need to make more eye contacts to the class/audience.

Types of Houses!

Today we were learning about types of houses, we learned this lesson from our teach Miss Butler. So she is our writing teacher and she teaches us cool things to learn about. So I wanna show you my presentation about Types of Houses!

Assembly Recount

Kia Orana my typing monkeys,

On Thursday 9th August, my class (aka: Parekowhai Class) hosted THE BEST, SMART, AMAZING ASSEMBLY EVER!. It started at 9:00am, I was very nervous and a little excited because we are the first class to do a assembly on Term 3! The theme for our assembly was BLOGGING!!!!!!! We got to share our blog post to the school so they can learn what we did in class. Our audience was Hay Park, teachers and parents. The host were: Kanishka, Fehi, Sariah and Ina/Me.

Our blogs were ‘What We Did In The Holidays’ (Mandita) Kiwi Kids News (Simon) Cook Island Language Week (Me) Plastic in the sea and a turtle died (Mose and Zion) bad habits (Gloria and Rhia). I had fun telling everyone about the Cook Islands because I want them to know some facts about a beach (Daragosa Beach). We also talked about YouTube Recommendation that was presented by Patrick (nearly forgot about him).

So at the start of our assembly our theme song was the ‘Wake Up Song’ that was given from Mrs Rai. When everyone took their seats Fehi, Kanishka, Sariah and I started the assembly! First we went on with our National Anthem, then we dance and sing to the song ‘Wake Up Song’ and it was SUPER fun because people knew the song and it was AMAZING because I will feel embarrassed if we have to sing the song without anyone singing. When the song finished we started of telling everyone about our blogging series. Then Mandita and Simon came up and talk about their holidays (including our winter homework). Mandita talked about her holiday about her friend came to her house (WHICH WAS ME) and Simon talking about a Kiwi Kids News article about a dog doing CPR!! After that I went next to show my presentation about the Cook Islands (PS: Cook Island Language Week w/ Ms Campbell). When I finished my presentation we started talking about YouTube. I know EVERYBODY LOVES YouTube and you might wonder that they have dirty, rude, inappropriate videos that people post and their channel/videos can easily get stuck into your head. So Patrick talked about Goosebumps because he was telling a explanation WHY WE HAVE GOOSEBUMPS! Later on Mose and Zion talked about a sad article that they published on their blog and it broke my heart. They were talking about rubbish into the sea and turtles dying from it :(. When it’s done we also started talking about BAD HABITS! So people have bad habits so Gloria and Rhia were talking about it! It’s terrible that people have those BAD HABITS and I am HAPPY that I am not that person. When they finished we asked Papa Jarrod to come up the stage but sadly he wasn’t here. Then we ended the assembly with a GOODBYE!

So today I am blogging on a Saturday! This is just a finishing off task that I need to do :)

So I am going to be sharing you my proper nouns and common nouns. So my teacher Miss Berry told us about them and they are very EASY!!!!

Proper noun is a name of a company, people's name, countries name or a pets name! (it just means a name that has a capital word at the start)

Common noun is kinda like a object such as table, chair, paper and more...

Goodbye Term 2

Shalom Everyone,

Today is the day that Term 2 has ended. It was such a adventure and was very fun and all but WISHIING THAT WILL NEVER END because Parekowhai Class get to wear mufti and GO TO THE FLYING FOX. We met friends like from Waikowhai Intermediate. Hopefully that Term 3 is BETTER that I want it to be!. FUN, PLAYING GAMES, ART, GONOODLE, SPORTS and more.... Hay Park and other school will be having 2 WEEKS HOLIDAY! YAY!!!!!!!!. At home I can sleep all day without sleeping early and getting ready for school (believe me it's SUPER BORING ANNOYED when it comes to get ready for school!)

My teacher and her friend (Ms Huys) did some short footage and they didn't record it until 1:00 they did like 20 sec or 12 sec.

I chose the Flying Fox and my bestie Kanishka chose Mufti. Best day ever! That is the best way to end Term 2. Also I want to say Goodbye to Miss Tau. She had been here for 2 years and she is a hard working teacher. O le a u misia oe ma ou to alofa tele ia to oe.

Here are my BFF'S Mandita, Kanishka, Gargee and Fehi (ignore the boy) Sorry Aryan. They have been my BESTIES since 2016. I love spending time with them and love playing with them. It just gives me memories when I look at the pictures because I am always thinking that they are my sisters!. These photos are in 2016 and remembering how little we were but still miss that class (Setoga Class) *sad face*.

Who should I start with? AHH got it.

Fehi: Fehi is this girl from Tonga. She has very long hair like Rapunzel. We've been best friends for 3 years (haha). She is SUPER funny and she makes people laugh. She has lots of friends (including me) and she has a good sense of humor like the rest of my friends and our friendship will never end. Fehi and I are in the same classroom with Kanishka and Mandita but not Gargee because we are seperate (DON'T ASK WHY).

Kanishka: Kanishka is a Fijian, Indian. Kanishka has been my best friend since 5 years and we are finally Year 6. Kanishka is the person that makes me laugh A LOT! (also Fehi) and I always laugh at the wrong time! when she says 'AAAIIII' I LAUGH STRAIGHT AWAY. Kanishka is taller than me and she has a laughing humor and she is such a CLOWN when it comes to make people laugh (MOSTLY ME). Kanishka and I are VERY CLOSE like the rest of my friends despised our LAUGHING! I love her so much like a sister.

Mandita: Mandita is my BEST FRIEND. We've been BFF's like FOREVER and we are Year 6 and we are STILL BEST FRIENDS. She has always been there for me whenever I am feeling BLUE. Our friendship is VERY CRAZY because we get to do everything together in class. We are always sitting next to each other (Well she is sitting next to me right now). She is like my sister to me and I wish that happened.

Gargee: Gargee is my BEST BEST FRIEND who is from Nepal (but she is actually born in America). She is VERY smart and she makes me happy when I am down like MANDITA. I love playing with her when my other friends are playing somewhere else. Gargee is very funny and she makes these funny faces that makes me laugh SUPER HARD! She is like a CLOWN like KANISHKA and FEHI because ALL 3 OF THEM MAKE ME LAUGH!. So anyways I am honor that I get to be her BEST FRIEND and when we separate intermediate school we will always remember each other (we will try).

Aboriginal Inspired Artwork

Good Morning/Good Afternoon Bloggers,

It's me Ina. Today I am going to be sharing you my Art Evaluation. It's called a 'Aboriginal Art.' It's a story about a Rainbow Serpent (which is a snake). Parekowhai Class were doing painting about the Rainbow Serpent and it was SUPER DUPER MESSY on tables and on UNIFORMS!. 

Anyhow, on Thursday 28th June it was CULTURAL DAY (my favorite day of the year). Students get to wear their cultural clothes that represents their island/country. I saw some Tongan, Samoan, Niue, Indian, Pakistan and more. I am a Cook Island/Maori/Samoan and I wore Cook Island clothes because I am Cook Island. (not going to be writing SO MANY cause I am too lazy). In our Cultural Assembly 4 girls (including me) were saying the speech or something like that. Then everyone hold up their art just so the people can see what we created.

Cheese Description!

It's me INA! so today Parekowhai Class and I were doing a task about cheese. On Monday 18th June (I think?) We were experiencing some cheese and taste tasting them and see how we react or how we like it! we were eating cheese that came from different countries. My reaction to ALL OF THE CHEESE! THEY WERE GROSS because I am not a cheese lover and never will be. So all of us were doing some writing of how it taste/where would you get it/what country does it come from/how it feels. Imagining If I Was A 10 Dollar Note?

Hello Bloggers,

Today I am going to be doing a assignment about me 'Imagining If I Was A 10 Dollar Note?'. Well to be honest this is part of my homework so YAY! I don't have to do it on my homework book :). Anyways... If I was a 10 dollar I rather get very DIZZY! because people hands out the same money like at Countdown, New World, Warehouse, McDonalds and much much more. If I was handed out to shopkeeper as change maybe that the other money's in the cash register will be inside there....I think that I can have fun and talk to them until the shopkeeper/manager opens the cash register and have to say goodbye to my friends (HAHAHA FUNNY). Another thing is if I was a 10 Dollar Note the funny part that I might think about it is when someone puts me in the wallet/purse in your pocket they might fart and EW EW EW but that won't happen (or would it?)

I wish that there was a photo of me on that beautiful ocean, diamond, crystal, sparkly money with my BEAUTIFUL FACE!

That won't happen :(

Casu Marzu Cheese

Kia Orana Kotou (Hello everyone),
For today's post I will be showing you guys something that will make you gag. So years ago there was this cheese that was made in Sardinia, Italy and they are call Casu Marzu Cheese, to be honest they are the worst. My class were doing some research on this cheese and when we took a look at the images we saw something that wasn't suppose to be in there!. So they are little white things that start with the letter 'M'. It's really DISGUSTING. Have you got it. It's MAGGOTS, I know Maggots. I was very shocked that there were Maggots in there. When I go to Sardinia, Italy I am never going to taste there cheese.

So here is what my class and I created but I am going to show you mine. You can go on my classmates blog because they did the same thing.


Now you know the reason why that I don't want to taste there cheese like NEVER IN MY LIFE!!! So umm if you see the image YouTube I think it's going to work or not going to work because I am going to put the link and see how it was made. (Ask a teacher for permission, but if you are at home WATCH IT, or not)
